What i want to know about my subject

What I want to know is why do they make us take classes that just teach us the same thing over and over again. Why do they not let us try and take a test that would allow us to test out of the class that way we could further our education faster and be able to get to work faster and improve our society? When the teachers see that a student already knows something why cant they offer a test that will allow said student to be promoted to a higher grade or class. Thus cutting school time down and that would reduce cost of teaching the student and providing materials that the student would have to use while in the classroom even tho he or she doesn't need it?

What i already know about my topic

What i already know is that some students can take a test on the subject and pass easily and would be ready for harder courses or subjects but cant test out of the class which does not help their learning. Some students dont need to be taught the same thing over and over again but the system requires you to take the classes even if you dont need to and could take the eoc or final or whatever they give you and pass it easily.

The story behind my topic choice

A wasted time... that is what i consider my school years. The last 8 years of schooling i have had to learn the same things over and over. I now should be in the 12th grade but am not because i have given up on doing the same work over and over. They teach the same things over and over and i know the material so why cant i just test out of the classes? If i could have tested out of my classes i could have graduated already.
